The Zion-Benton Township High School is starting construction of a new performing arts center, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The project will cost $12.5 million, which is more than the $9.2 million originally projected. Construction is expected to be complete by Dec. 1, 2019, , according to the report.
The new performing arts center will replace the theater on the former Pearce Campus. The project’s construction manager is Camosy Construction.
